Former Rangers striker Kenny Miller has been talking about the Light Blues in the media over the weekend – with Alfredo Morelos’ future and Ianis Hagi both on his radar – but it’s time the retired star gave up with the constant negativity towards Rangers.
After claiming Rangers had overpaid for Hagi by paying £3million for the Romanian, Miller also claimed that he expects Alfredo Morelos to move on this summer – insisting it is “obvious” that the Colombia international wants to leave.
Ever since being bombed out at Ibrox over a row with Graeme Murty, Miller appears to take every opportunity to tell the world where Rangers have gone wrong and it is getting boring listening to Miller drone on like a jilted ex.
While nobody expects ex-Rangers players to act like cheerleaders, in a similar style to Chris Sutton, it isn’t too much to hope for that they at least approach things with an even keel.
Miller is far from the only one guilty of it (Hi Barry) but he gets plenty of airtime to take little digs at Rangers almost two years after leaving Ibrox.
After three spells at the club saw him get his hands on trophies and play at the very highest level for Rangers, the former Scotland star is far from the worst pundit and does a better job than some of his peers – he just needs to change the record.
