‘Twas a time of turmoil, strife unforeseen,
for Scotland’s biggest football team.
Verily, they lacked the perfect heir,
and left a man too much to bear.
It’s fair to say that Graeme struggles,
even though no more he takes the tumbles,
his public face no longer fair,
the man who feels too much to bear.
His charges, they have let him down,
more happy to not smile but frown.
Some would prefer the perfect hair,
and leave a man too much to bear.
His King and council, they do tarry,
unable to make the heir search marry,
and so they leave him in his lair,
the man who has too much to bear.
The seeming heir will face our man,
with seeming strength within his clan,
and yet again, he must take care,
the man who has too much to bear.
The King and council, subject to their path,
will face on Thursday subjects wrath,
and can he help with lighter air,
the man who has too much to bear?
MORE RANGERS STORIES
When step up he did, time was felt nigh,
His ambition great, expectation high.
But reality showed the talent not there,
the man who has too much to bear.
On Friday eve, his mind revealed,
the eyes not dry, the stress concealed.
It seems as if it’s all unfair,
for one who cares too much, too bare.
And so the need for heir is greater,
and time makes subjects feelings waver.
But for this moment, he is still there,
The man who has too much to bear.
Some find it farce, some feel it’s tragic,
and most certainly it lacks the magic,
the travails given most time and air,
the man who has too much to bear.
This tale is not forever, no.
This is but temporary woe.
But at this time, to say is fair,
It is not fun being a Bear.
