Where to start in picking a man of the match in a game like that!?

On a bitter night at Dens there was no performance of note to warm up the fans. In fact the performances were so bad Jimmy Bell has to come in for consideration in getting ready, and arriving on time.

On a serious note though, it is hard to see any players who gave a full 90 worthy of note. Our full backs love attacking but we didn’t stop a single cross in to the box all night which puts pressure on Wes, Wilson and McCrorie to deal with constant crosses.  Jack and Holt can be neat and tidy but it never felt like we dominated in that area of the park as so often we look to shuttle the ball wide and don’t control that area of the park. Candeias had his poorest performance so far and despite his goal Windass was his usual hit and miss self.

Kenny Miller is back to his early season form which is more of a hindrance to the team than a help. There’s no doubting he gives his all but I can’t help thinking he would make more of an impact in the last 30 minutes of a game where we either need his experience to see it out or his energy to dig us out a hole.

So, in all honesty, MOTM has to be Morelos as the game changed when he went off and the ball didn’t stick up front to allow us to push higher up. It’ll be a huge blow if he misses the upcoming games so either Pena the fridge need to step up and play

MAN OF THE MATCH: Morelos
