Ciaran Dickson has spoken about his ambitions at Rangers and the effect of Steven Gerrard, as quoted by the Scottish Herald.
The 16-year-old prospect has enjoyed a strong season so far.
He was a big part of the U17 squad which became the first British side to win the prestigious Alkass Cup in Doha, back in February.

Since then, he’s not rested on his laurels, either. He opened the scoring as the Gers defeated Celtic 3-2 to lift the Scottish Youth Cup at Hampden.

Now, Dickson is hoping to push on to individual success.
“I look up to Ross McCrorie,” said Dickson, as quoted by the Scottish Herald. “He has come through the Academy here and he plays in my position in the first team so he is someone to look at.
“He has completed the journey that we all want to complete and got to the level that we all want to get to. I am pushing myself every day to try and get round with the first team.
“The manager is someone for us all to look up to and he is a real role model for me. I aspire to do as well as I can and impress him and it is always special when you hear the manager speak.
“He has spoken to us all in groups and the advice that he gives us is second to none. The first thing he told us when he came in was that if you were good enough then you will play, so that shows that there are opportunities there for us all.”
Dickson is one of a number of young stars who have shown real promise this season. Kai Kennedy, Nathan Young-Coombes and Dapo Mebude are other standouts.
It’s great to see, that despite only being 16, Dickson appears to genuinely believe there’s a pathway for him all the way up to the first team.
The influence of Steven Gerrard, once again, cannot be underestimated here.
The manager clearly made a point of addressing the youth squads shortly after his appointment and what he said is still ringing in Dickson’s ears. If he and others keep improving, opportunities will come down the line.
As a youngster, that’s the sort of guarantee that could inspire you to fulfil your potential.
