UEFA have been prodding the Old Firm derby as they pit Rangers and Celtic fans against each other in their latest Europa League poll.

Asking fans of the British sides taking part in the competition this week, the official Europa League Twitter account pits the Old Firm against Premier League pair West Ham and Leicester City.

At the time of writing the Teddy Bears are out in front but as momentum gathers Celtic fans have also been jumping on the poll.

The two Glasgow clubs are Scotland’s only participants in European football this season and both are on the road heading into matchday 4 of the Europa League.

Rangers know that they can give their Europa League qualification a major boost with a victory over Danish Champions Brondby just outside Copenhagen this week.

The Gers currently sit 3rd in Group A on 3 points after defeating the Danes 2-0 at Ibrox with Sparta Prague second (4 points) and Lyon out in front having won every game in the group (9 points).

Should results go the Ibrox side’s way this week, then Rangers could qualify with a victory against Sparta Prague at Ibrox come the end of November.

Celtic have the same number of points as Rangers but face a much bigger challenge to get out of Group G.

The Parkhead club travel to Hungary to face Ferencvaros but are currently four points behind group leaders Bayer Leverkusen and Real Betis, who they have matches against in the coming months.

West Ham sit top of Group H having won their opening three matches without conceding a goal whilst Leicester City sit 3rd in a tight Group C.

Rangers fans are eager to see their side in Europa League action after a thumping victory over Motherwell at Fir Park as Steven Gerrard confirmed a potential Ibrox boost in Denmark.
