Rangers SLO Greg Marshall has confirmed that there are an incredible 13,000 fans on the waiting list for season tickets at Ibrox as the renewals for 2019/20 get underway.

After being asked by a supporter on Twitter just how long the waiting list was, Marshall replied “13000. Phenomenal.”

The Light Blues have sold incredible numbers of season tickets in recent seasons – leading to the Light Blues to cut Celtic’s allocation for Old Firm games to allow the club to sell even more.

With renewals ongoing until May 20th, it’ll be interesting to see if there’s any change in the waiting list numbers.

Demand clearly outstrips supply at Ibrox now and if these sort of numbers continue for a few seasons then Rangers will surely have to consider an expansion to the stadium.

Success on the pitch will obviously have a big part to play in continued demand but it’s obvious there is a huge demand for tickets – with even single match tickets becoming hard to come by.

Rangers sold over 45000 season tickets this season so there isn’t even much scope for there to be an increase in the numbers available.

The demand from fans is testament to the loyalty of the support and their willingness to get behind the team.
