Tam McManus insists Ryan Kent must be Rangers 'number one target'

BBC pundit Tam McManus insists that Ryan Kent should be Rangers “number one target” this summer after reported interest from Aston Villa in snatching the winger away from under the Gers’ nose.
Former Hibs and Colorado Rapids striker McManus believes that bringing Kent back to Ibrox for the upcoming season would be a real “statement of intent” from the Gers as they aim to dethrone Celtic.
“Be a real statement of intent by Rangers if they can get Kent back. Should be their number 1 target this Summer. Terrorised Celtic,” McManus said on Twitter.

Kent wowed with his performances at Ibrox over the just-finished season with Gers manager Steven Gerrard confirming that he wants to bring him back to Ibrox next season.
The Scottish Sun claims that Aston Villa are looking at a £10million bid for the Liverpool winger which could really hinder the Gers plans for a return.

The 22-year-old scored six times and contributed nine assists for the Gers in 43 appearances after heading north on loan.
With the Gers seemingly priced out of a permanent move for the winger, Gerrard may have to turn his attention elsewhere as he looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the new campaign.
