Rangers were busy in the January Transfer Window, but it appears they missed out on at least one target.
According to a report from FotbollDirekt, Alexander Kacaniklic opted against moving to Ibrox.
The 27-year-old is an established international, with 19 Sweden caps.

However, the winger never made a senior appearance for the Reds.
Instead, he moved to Fulham and broke into the first team, scoring ten league goals in four years at Craven Cottage.

Despite recent struggles, it appears he was a serious target for Gerrard in January.
The FotballDirekt report even claims that he flew to Glasgow for talks, but ultimately decided against a move.
Instead,
he joined Hammarby in his native Sweden, on a free transfer.

At 27, this is a player who should be at the peak of his powers, who may have offered an extra dimension to Rangers’ attacking play.
With the current form of Daniel Candeias and Ryan Kent though, this failed move isn’t looking particularly costly right now.
