Michael Beale has expressed his surprise at Ridvan Yilmaz and Fashion Sakala after Rangers recorded a 3-0 win over St Mirren.
The Gers ended the campaign on a high thanks to a double from the latter and a goal from Antonio Colak.
After the 90 minutes had ended, Michael Beale shared his thoughts on Fashion Sakala and Ridvan Yilmaz.
What’s the story?
Well, the 42-year-old expressed his shock at the pair’s strong relationship.
The BBC quote Beale as saying: “It’s the strangest car pool in the world – Ridvan Yilmaz and Fashion Sakala. They’re bringing that friendship onto the pitch. We wanted Rabbi and Fashion to play wider and not play with a number nine. Both goals came from that.”

It was the Turkey international who assisted both of the Zambia international’s goals against St Mirren, on a day where the duo delivered excellent performances.
As WhoScored shows, Sakala embarked on two successful dribbles and registered a 100% passing accuracy in today’s 3-0 win.
In regards to Yilmaz, he recorded a 92.1% pass success rate on an afternoon where he was practically faultless.
Beale also impressed with Souttar after Rangers 3-0 St Mirren
Sakala and Yilmaz were not the only ones who impressed Beale earlier today.
The Rangers boss also had words of praise for John Souttar, who was a colossus at the back.
Beale told the BBC: “A word for John Souttar, who was outstanding yet again.”
The Scotland international made five clearances against St Mirren and also completed 85 passes, more than any of his teammates – the Rangers No.16 has the impressive ability to both play out from the back, as well as be a pillar of strength in the air.
While Rangers will be disappointed to lose the Scottish Premiership title to Celtic, there is plenty for Beale and supporters to be optimistic about ahead of next season.
