Rangers will make the trip to face minnows East Fife in the League Cup this weekend – and Gers midfielder Steven Davis has warned his team-mates have to make sure they put in a professional performance against the part-timers.
After facing FC Midtjylland at a packed Ibrox in last night’s Europa League clash, the Gers will travel to Methil and 2,000-capacity Bayview to face the League One side.

Davis knows it’ll be a massive game for the Fifers but insists the Gers can’t take anything for granted and must be professional.
“That’s what you get in cup competitions. It’s a massive game for them, and we want to make sure we are in the next round,” Davis told Rangers TV.
“We’ve got to go into it, be professional and do our jobs like we have tonight. Winning games like that is what gets you to cup finals where we want to be and gives you opportunities to win trophies.

“We’ll start our recovery straight after the game tonight and look forward to Sunday and be ready to go again.”
There will almost certainly be a host of changes to the side for the trip to Bayview with the likes of Greg Docherty, Matt Polster, Filip Helander and Wes Foderingham all likey to come into the starting XI.

With a trip to face Legia Warsaw next Thursday in the Europa League, the opportunity to rest some players will be welcomed by the Gers.
A trip to Bayview might be a bit of a culture shock for one or two of the Rangers players but a big win against East Fife is the very minimum the Gers should be delivering this weekend.
