Albanian winger Eros Grezda has struggled to live up to the hype so far – but the winter break trip to Tenerife is the ideal chance for the winger to turn his Gers career around.
After signing from NK Osijek, fans expected big things from Grezda but so far he’s only shown it in glimpses.

The winger has struggled to hold down a regular place in the starting XI, although missed pre-season as a result of ankle surgery.
Getting away for a week for intensive training in warm weather should give him a chance to properly get his feet under the table and prove just how good he is.

Despite grabbing a few goals since arriving, Grezda’s never really got going, leading to some to question whether he has a long-term future at Ibrox.

The onus is on Grezda now to show he what is needed to be a vital player after the break.

Added competition for places should also force the Albanian to up his game and look to cement a regular start.

Playing alongside former Osijek team-mate Borna Barisic should help Grezda hit his stride and impress.
With Jermain Defoe and Alfredo Morelos leading the line, wingers are key to the Gers’ style.
Grezda now needs to show he is capable of providing the chances for the likes of Defoe and Morelos.
The Albanian has made 14 appearances and scored twice since arriving in Scotland.
