Six Rangers starlets have been named in Billy Stark’s Scotland under-19 squad for the UEFA Elite Round qualifiers in France later this month as the Gers youngsters dominate the Scotland youth set-ups.

James Maxwell, Nathan Patterson, Ciaran Dickson, Kai Kennedy, Josh McPake and Dapo Mebude are all in the squad for the three games in France as the Scots take on the hosts, Russia and Georgia for a place at this summer’s finals.

With so many representing Scotland – 15 in total between under-21, under-19 and under-17 levels – Craig Mulholland and his staff have done a fantastic job in identifying and nurturing young talent.

Several of the young Gers have already made their senior debut for Rangers – with some fans disappointed not to see Nathan Patterson in the starting XI for the weekend win over Ross County.

The Scots will face France on Wednesday, March 25, Russia on Saturday, March 28 and Georgia on Tuesday, March 31 for a place in the finals in Northern Ireland this summer.
