The Daily Record report that Rangers are ‘closing in’ on pre-contract deal for Birmingham City’s Greg Stewart.
The 29-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan at Kilmarnock. He made a real impact there, too, netting eight times in the league alongside six assists.

He’s netted just once in twelve outings and hasn’t mustered an assist.
That doesn’t appear to have put off Steven Gerrard, though, if the reports are to be believed.
On Sunday, the £540k-rated attacker [Transfermarkt] has an opportunity to put his recent bad form behind him and make sure Rangers don’t have any second thoughts.
Aberdeen take on Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden and Stewart couldn’t ask for a better platform.

Now, it’s Stewart’s turn to prove he can produce on the big stage.
As a rumoured blue nose, he’s surely desperate to secure an Ibrox deal and a couple of goals against Celtic would do his chances no harm.
