The latest Rangers transfer news suggests that if everything goes to plan the club could be in for a very busy end to the summer window.

The Gers have already added nine new faces to their squad with several of the club’s most experienced campaigners leaving in a major summer revamp.

But speaking ahead of the final week of the transfer window Michael Beale was clear that Rangers would be focusing on outgoings – with one potential new addition.

The latest Rangers transfer news suggests that the club are poised and ready to move for a starter should they become available within our budget but for now exits are the talk of the day.

Rangers transfer news: Ibrox focus is on exits

Reportedly Leeds United-bound Finnish international midfielder Glen Kamara is at the centre of the Rangers transfer news cycle.

The 27-year-old has been linked with an exit all summer long and – despite reports of Leeds United elsewhere – a £5m deal is expected to be completed this week.

Reports have also emerged surrounding teenage centre-back Leon King who is currently the club’s fifth choice centre-back.

With minutes expected to be at a premium for the young defender, a loan move to the English Football League has been mooted with interest in League One and the Championship.

On that, there has been plenty of chatter around a new centre-back but the latest suggests Rangers will need to ship Ben Davies out before moving elsewhere.

Signing on a reported £4m deal from Liverpool last season, there is talk of interest from Stoke City in the defender but the latest suggests Davies’ wants to fight for his place in Glasgow.

As for the other outgoings, ex-Aberdeen winger Scott Wright remains in the squad after the collapse of a move to Turkey and things have gone quiet regarding an exit.

Several of the club’s B Team stars are also expected to go out on loan, whilst goalkeeper exit talk surrounding Ibrox number two Robby McCrorie have fizzled out.

No guarantees on Rangers incomings

As for the incomings, we’ve touched on the links to Leicester City defender Harry Souttar and there has been some conjecture around the centre-back.

The brother of Scotland international John Souttar, the Foxes paid a reported £15m to sign the defender from Stoke in January of this year.

Whilst Four Lads Had a Dream blogger Stevie Clifford has claimed that as things stand the club tell him a deal for Harry Souttar “100%” won’t be happening, elsewhere the incoming Rangers transfer news is more positive.

Heart & Hand host David Edgar has claimed that interest in the centre-back is legitimate but that Rangers can only work with Leicester City on a loan move for the Australian defender.

This would back up claims from Chris Jack that Rangers are poised to strike a suitable deal should the right player become available but that as things stand fans should also be preparing for the club to make no singings this week.

These are reliable sources on all things Rangers and interestingly, both Four Lads and Heart & Hand have also pointed to the potential addition of a winger-forward type.

But for those Rangers fans indulging in rumours about legendary Belgian winger Eden Hazard – who has just left Real Madrid – they will likely be very disappointed.

Not only did Stevie Clifford suggest both rumours around Eden Hazard and ex-Manchester United star Jesse Lingard have been “laughed off” by the Ibrox club.

But for the more ambitious Rangers fans amongst us, the latest transfer news suggests the 32-year-old former Chelsea attacker is set to hang up his boots once and for all.
