Rangers to wear special kits v RB Leipzig to support mental health initiative

Rangers are set to wear a special front-of-shirt sponsor in tonight’s Europa League semi-final first-leg clash against RB Leipzig after Kindred Group, owner of 32Red, announced it would ‘donate’ it to mental health project Team Talk.

The Gers usually wear Unibet branding in European games but will instead wear the Rangers Charity Foundation’s Team Talk logo when they face the German side.

According to the RCF’s website, Team Talk is a project designed to “support men’s mental wellbeing and runs every Wednesday night. The programme aims to build resilience, improve social circles, enhance confidence, increase physical activity and help adult men to feel more supported.”

Should Rangers make the final in Seville next month, the club will again wear the Team Talk logo as the Kindred Group give fantastic backing to the initiative.

Incredible gesture by Rangers and Kindred Group for RB Leipzig clash

“The investment from Kindred Group has already been fantastic for our Team Talk project,” RCF director Connal Cochrane said.

“It is the first time one of the Club’s main sponsors have made such a significant and targeted investment in the local community. We know talking can save lives and we can now extend the programme for another year, building on the success it had last year. “This will allow existing and new participants to attend our weekly programme which has already had tangible benefit for their mental health and wellbeing and allowed the group to start forming connections with each other as well as be supported by our staff in a safe space.”

To wear the Team Talk branding in such huge games is a fantastic step by the club and Kindred Group and they deserve plenty of plaudits.

Team Talk virtual sessions take place every Wednesday night from 6 – 8pm and are available for all adult males. You can register your interest by emailing [email protected].
