Rangers have confirmed new contracts for Academy trio Rhys Breen, Brian Kinnear and Lewis Budinauckas as they look to work their way through the ranks at Ibrox and into the first-team.
The trio have all signed one-year extensions to keep them at the club until the summer of 2020 and have impressed at reserve and under-18 level this season.

Goalkeepers Kinnear and Buinauckas have both impressed this season in the Academy sides and Budinauckas won plaudits for his performances in the Alkass Cup recently as Rangers lifted the trophy.

Breen has trained with Steven Gerrard’s first-team as well as regularly being involved with Graeme Murty’s reserve side.

Handing the youngsters new deals is another sign of the confidence the club’s staff have in the young talent coming through the ranks.
With Breen the oldest of the three at 19, it’s likely he’ll find his way into the first-team sooner although it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him head out on loan to gain some experience.

All three will be hoping they can continue to progress and force their way into the first-team plans at Rangers and follow the likes of Ross McCrorie and Glenn Middleton into the squad.
