Rangers star Fashion Sakala has taken to social media to quash rumours that the Ibrox attacker was shot dead back in Zambia during the recent international break.
Gers attacker Fashion, 25, was back in his home country ahead of an international friendly with Israel but had to pull out of the squad due to an injury sustained at Rangers.

But despite the fact the forward couldn’t turn out for his country, Fashion Sakala clearly enjoyed the trip home to Zambia and is not dead as per some pretty horrific rumours on social media.
Sakala had begun to trend on social media amid claims from some quarters of the internet that the player had been shot in Zambia with concerned fans worried for the player’s welfare.
Now, Fashion Sakala has moved to quash the ludicrous claims and horrible rumours by taking to social media to confirm he is very much alive and that he is back in Glasgow after returning from Zambia.
“God bless,” said Sakala.
“Happy to be back and it was nice to see my family. I’m recovering well and I’m very fine to the rumours enjoying the cold in Glasgow.
“FS10 dreams don’t die.”
Rangers star Fashion Sakala responds to disturbing rumours he is dead
Rangers star Fashion Sakala is currently carrying an injury and as such was not able to feature for Zambia against Israel, a game the Israelis won 4-2.
It’s very good to hear the striker is alive and well but it is mega disturbing that Fashion Sakala should have to respond to claims on social media that he is dead.
It shows the power of fake news on social media and credit to Fashion Sakala for coming out to put a pin in some pretty horrible suggestions online.
The Ibrox attacker had a difficult start to the season at Ibrox but had began to impress for the club before sustaining an injury in the 2-1 defeat to St Johnstone.
Very much alive and, contrary to some rumours, not at all dead, Fashion Sakala has made 13 appearances for Rangers this season, scoring once and assisting another.
Meanwhile, Rangers are reportedly leading the hunt for a £5m-rated Championship star.
