Rangers insiders Heart and Hand have given an update regarding Hibs looking to sign Brandon Barker, as talks are at their infancy, with the side looking at a replacement for Martin Boyle.
Barker has majorly struggled to make any sort of impression this season, featuring just once, in the 4-0 win over Stirling Albion as his contract expires at the end of the current campaign, a move is inevitable.
With Boyle leaving Hibs to join Al-Faislay for a fee of £3m [EdinburghEveningNews], the Edinburgh side is looking for an adequate replacement for the Australian.
Heart and Hand provide an update on Hibs transfer business regarding Brandon Barker
With the final few hours of the window left, David Edgar gave an update for the Rangers fans concerning the player.
“You may have seen earlier that Hibs were said to be in talks with Brandon Barker,” said Edgar on the popular fan media’s Daily Update [31/01/22].
“My understanding is that that’s not at an advanced stage and that’s because Hibs are looking at a number of options because they need to replace Martin Boyle, who left to go to Saudi Arabia.
“I’d imagine Barker is a sort of back-up if they don’t get their main targets.”
It just didn’t work out for the Englishman at Ibrox and I’m sure everyone at the club will offer their best wishes to him as he searches for a new club.
