Rangers season ticket renewals are up from 25% on this time last year, at least according to Derek Johnstone.
In his Evening Times column, Johnstone was challenging the conversation around the guard of honour. But he also touched on just how well Rangers are doing with season ticket renewals.
The former Rangers striking hero claims that the uptake is indicative of just how excited the fans are about the direction the Ibrox club are going in under Gerrard.
“More than 28,000 fans have already renewed their season tickets for next year and that shows you how excited the supporters are about where Steven Gerrard is taking the club.
“That is 25 per cent up on this time 12 months ago and the only focus this weekend is giving those punters another derby victory.”
Rangers recorded record-breaking season ticket sales last season after Gerrard took charge. Now, with the club in a more stable position on and off the pitch, Rangers fans are flocking for the second phase of his tenure.
