A matter of minutes after we published a story speculating about his future, Rangers confirmed that Ryan Hardie has signed a new contract with the club.
The new deal will run through to summer 2020.

After battling injury at the beginning of the season, it’s fair to say that Hardie has brought his Rangers career back from the brink.
“I’m absolutely delighted”, the 21-year-old told the club’s website.
“Obviously the first time I was involved this season was the trip to Tenerife. I was over the moon with the chance to go, and show what I can do as it was the first time I had been away with the manager.”
“He would have seen what I was like from afar, but he just wanted to have a look at me and assess me, with a view to next year”, Hardie continued.
“Thankfully, I have done enough to secure another contract and I am looking forward to kicking on.”
Clearly, Gerrard liked what he saw in Tenerife.
Gary Holt, and Livingston must take a great deal of credit for that, though.
They nursed the striker back to full fitness and he repaid them in goals.
With the new contract signed, Hardie will now return to the Tony Macaroni until the end of the season.
A great day all round for the youngster.
Most importantly, he has secured his future at Rangers.
Yet, in the short-term, he has also secured regular first team action.
