Rangers reportedly get their man as striker agrees three-year deal

Rangers have reportedly secured another summer signing after Greg Stewart agreed a three-year contract to join Steven Gerrard’s side from Birmingham City, according to the Daily Record.
Stewart has been linked with a move to Ibrox for months and it appears that Gerrard has finally got his man as he prepares for next season.

The striker spent the first half of the season on loan at Kilmarnock before switching to Aberdeen in January after an impressive start to the campaign.
Stewart scored eight goals in 16 games on loan at Kilmarnock in the first half of the season but has managed just one goal in 17 appearances for Derek McInnes’ side.

The Light Blues have already confirmed the signing of Jordan Jones on a pre-contract with
Motherwell winger Jake Hastie also reported to be Ibrox-bound.
At 29, this will almost certainly be Stewart’s last ‘big’ move and it will be interesting to see how he fits into Gerrard’s side.

With an abundance of attacking options already at the club, there will likely be a few departures in the summer as Gerrard moves on those not pulling their weight.
An announcement of the deal could come imminently but with the Gers facing Aberdeen today in the Scottish Premiership, Rangers may just hold fire on confirming it for a little bit longer.
