Rangers partner release Cristiano Ronaldo-heavy trailer for FIFA challenger

New Rangers partner UFL have released the first gameplay trailer showing their new title in action – with Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo prominently featured throughout.

The Gers announced their link up with the challenger to FIFA’s throne as the number one football game earlier this week

As well as Rangers, UFL have partnered with West Ham United, Sporting CP, Shakhtar Donetsk, Borussia Mönchengladbach, AS Monaco, Besiktas JK and Celtic.

The 90-second trailer shows the first gameplay of the free-to-play game from Strikerz Inc ahead of its release on Playstation and Xbox later this year.

Watford Hiring Roy Hodgson Is A Joke.

With Cristiano Ronaldo the main focus of the trailer, the game is sure to generate more buzz as it gets closer to launch with the support of some of the biggest names in football.

The game appears to be similar to FIFA’s Ultimate Team mode and UFL have also teamed up with Romelu Lukaku, Roberto Firmino, and Oleksandr Zinchenko.

According to the Belarus-based developer, players will be able to improve the existing players in their squad or unlock new faces the more games they play while there will be a host of customisation options including kits, stadiums and various other items.

If they are going to knock FIFA off their perch, they are going to have a massive task on their hand with EA’s flagship sports title still massively ahead of the competition in sales.

Having seen off PES – another Rangers partner – so severely that Konami had to rename it and change their entire business model, Strikerz Inc and UFL will need to be something special to have a chance.

Meanwhile, a former Rangers star is back in British football following £30m Turkish takeover
