BT Sport takes over as the home of WWE in the UK from the beginning of 2020 and Rangers fans might have found themselves a new hero in Canadian star Kevin Owens.

The former WWE Universal Champion appeared in a video on the broadcaster’s Twitter sending a ‘warning’ to Chris Sutton as part of the promotion of their move to BT Sport.

Owens calls Sutton “trash” and threatens to “stun” the former striker out of his shoes and given some of Sutton’s comments over the years, few would argue he doesn’t deserve it.

Many Gers fans would no doubt love to see Owens get his hands on Sutton and leave the former Celtic star begging for mercy.

One of Owens’ former rivals in WWE, Scottish wrestler Drew McIntyre, is a big Rangers fan and the Ayr-born grappler believes the Gers will get their hands on the league title this season.

Fans on Twitter were loving Owens’ ‘promo’ on the former Celtic striker – with one making a play on Owens’ “Fight Owens Fight” catchphrase and changing it to “Staunch Owens Staunch.”
