Rangers midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh has taken to Instagram to send an emotional message after his release from Ibrox.
The Gers announced this week that the former Bournemouth midfielder, 23, has been released from his contract at the club two years on from when he signed on in Glasgow.
Rangers struck a pre-contract agreement for Nnamdi Ofoborh but the player didn’t play a single game for the club after routine tests discovered a heart issue.
Rangers claim the player has “opted to pursue a career elsewhere” and now Nnamdi Ofoborh has taken to Instagram in the wake of his departure.
Nnamdi Ofoborh sends emotional Instagram message
In an emotional message to supporters, the Nigerian youth international has claimed he will always support the club as he puts a cap on his frustrating time in Glasgow.

On the Instagram stories section of the social media platform, Nnamdi Ofoborh said:
“To my Rangers family, coaches, staff, teammates and fans, I thank you.
“For your support over the last two years.
“I will never forget my time up there, an experience that will stay with me forever.
“I also apologise as I wasn’t able to help in the ways that I wanted to and that hurts me the most.
“All the best this season Rangers FC. You will always have me as a supporter.”
There’s not a Rangers fan anywhere who will hold the last two years against Nnamdi Ofoborh and the parting message on Instagram is a touch of class from the big midfielder.
Everyone at Ibrox will be hoping that the ex-Wycombe loanee can get his career back on track and overcome the heart issue which devastated his time in Glasgow.
There is clearly a level of disagreement over the midfielder’s situation, as an earlier Instagram message from Nnamdi Ofoborh proves, and the decision appears to be the best one for all parties.
