Rangers loanee Joe Worrall 'friends again' with Old Firm rival

Former Rangers loanee Joe Worrall has returned to parent club Nottingham Forest after a season at Ibrox – and took to social media to post a toe-curling photo with former Celtic rival Oliver Burke.
Both players spent time on loan in Glasgow in the season just finished but now they are back at their respective parent clubs, Worrall and Burke have been catching up with each other.
The duo came through Nottingham Forest’s Academy together before Burke headed to RB Leipzig and the Gers defender took to Instagram to post how the pair as “friends again” after their time on opposite sides of the Old Firm.

Worrall made 32 appearances for the Gers over the course of the season but found himself bombed out of the side towards the end of the campaign after an off-field incident.
The defender will now look to force his way into the side at Nottingham Forest under former Celtic duo Martin O’Neill and Roy Keane.

Despite being criticised in some quarters, Worrall did well when called upon by Rangers and although there were a few high-profile errors, he can’t have too many complaints with how his loan spell worked out.
It’ll be interesting to see how he gets on at Forest and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he quickly realises just how good he had it in Glasgow.
