Rangers increase Bar 72 season tickets price by 35% amid upgrades

Rangers have increased the cost Bar 72 season tickets as they announce major upgrades to the area inside Ibrox Stadium.

According to details emailed to current season ticket holders who’re being asked to renew, the cost has increased from £1060 to £1440, an increase in the region of 35%.

This comes as the club announce major developments to Bar 72 which will become Club 72 when the renovations are completed.

The renovations to the club’s hospitality lounges are aimed at setting a “new standard for sports hospitality in Scotland” [Rangers].

The changes will affect both the Blue Sky Lounge, which will offer “one of the finest panoramic views in European football” and result in increased capacity, premium seats and theatre-style live cooking.

Bar 72 will be upgrading to Club 72 with the Ibrox side upgrading the space to include modern sports bars, a contemporary dining experience and state-of-the-art technology.

James Bisgrove, Director of Commercial & Marketing, said:

“In anticipation of our 150th anniversary, investment in our premium offering is core to our strategy in providing a truly world-class hospitality experience at Ibrox.

“As the world’s most successful football club, we firmly believe in setting the standard within Scottish sport, both on and off the field.

‘’A best-in-class guest experience will be at the centre of both Club 72 and the Blue Sky Lounge.

“We are proud that these significant upgrades will represent the pinnacle of sports hospitality experiences in Scotland.’’

The changes were scheduled to take place this summer but have been postponed until next year due to the ongoing situation with the global pandemic.

However, season ticket prices are still set to increase with a range of benefits being offered to current holders.

These include an MC host and live entertainment on matchdays, ex-player visits, complimentary drinks, programmes and pies, a membership card and lanyard and a dedicated account manager.
