Rangers loanee Jake Hastie was recalled to the starting XI for Rotherham United today as they faced MK Dons, but it was a mixed afternoon for the winger after being hooked at 2-0 down before The Millers turned the game around to win 3-2.

Hastie joined ex-Ger Matt Crooks in Paul Warne’s side as he made his first league start since October 19th, but there was little he could do as his side were battered by the Dons before being replaced after 64 minutes.

Just two minutes later, Dan Barlaser made no mistake at the second time of asking after Cargill’s miscued header saw him fire home and throw his side a lifeline.

The goal lifted Rotherham’s spirits and they were level five minutes later as MK Dons were left shellshocked.

Kyle Vassell’s free-kick evaded everyone but Michael Ihiekwe, who managed to keep it alive before Ladapo pounced to level the scores.

Ladapo was the hero with only four minutes left in the game, Ladapo completed the most unlikely of comebacks when he nodded home from another Vassell set-piece.

While Hastie’s form is nowhere near what it was earlier in the season, hopefully, the Rangers winger can get back to his best and show just how good he can be.

The win over MK Dons could well be the spark needed to turn things around for Hastie as Rotherham look to push on for promotion to the Championship.
