Rangers icon Richard Gough has appeared to confirm the involvement of legendary Spanish striker Fernando Torres in the upcoming Legends game with Liverpool at Ibrox on October 12th.

So far, only a handful of names have been officially confirmed as playing for the European champions with Jamie Carragher, Luis Garcia Jason McAteer and Patrik Berger joining Steven Gerrard in red once more.

Torres has spoken before about how much he enjoyed playing alongside the Rangers boss again and it looks as though he’ll get his chance soon.

‘El Nino’ recently hung his boots up after a spell in Japan with Sagan Tosun but had, arguably, the best spell of his career at Anfield as he hit 81 goals in 142 appearances before moving to Chelsea in a then-British record deal.

Despite his talents, Torres won surprisingly few trophies at club level with the FA Cup the only major domestic trophy he won although he did also lift the Champions League and two Europa Leagues in addition to the two European Championships and World Cup he won with Spain.
