Rangers flop Umar Sadiq set for Roma exit - report

Rangers flop Umar Sadiq is set to be shown the exit at Roma, according to a report, after unsurprisingly failing to make the grade at the Serie A giants.
According to Di Marzio, Roma are working on getting a number of players off their books with Sadiq being one of those on the way out.

The Nigerian is said to be close to sealing a switch to French side Troyes after talks were held on Tuesday between both parties.

Sadiq will go down as one of the worst Rangers signings in a long, long time and it still amazes many Gers fans that he ever wound up at a club like Roma.

His ridiculous dive in the Scottish League Cup semi-final against Aberdeen blew the Gers chances of reaching the final.
The lanky striker looked incredibly uncomfortable whenever he was near the ball and looked out of place as a footballer.

After leaving Rangers, Sadiq had a stint on loan at Perugia but didn’t have much success there either.

Moving to the French second-tier would be a better fit for his abilities but he’s not someone that fans will be holding their breath to see if he can get his career back on track.
Sadiq only managed four appearances during his time in Scotland before his loan was ripped up months early, along with Ovie Ejaria, as both players struggled with life at Ibrox.
