Rangers fans send messages to Bolton and Bury supporters

Rangers supporters have taken to Twitter to send messages of support to both Bury and Bolton Wanderers fans, with the holding businesses of both clubs nearing liquidation.

An EFL deadline has now passed with both club’s desperately trying to secure a takeover to secure their football league status.

Gers fans – who know all to well the fear of financial ruin – have urged supporters to keep rallying around their clubs.

Should both clubs have failed to secure a takeover for the 5 pm deadline on 27/08/19, then both clubs will be removed from the English Football League.

Rangers managed to secure Scottish Professional Football League status after reapplying following the Glasgow club’s previous holding company being liquidated in 2012, but entered in the fourth tier of Scottish football.

As is stands, reports claim that Bury have been unable to resolve a deal before the deadline and are heading for a doomsday scenario.

For Bolton however, it remains unclear on how they intend on progressing with an update to the situation due later.

Whatever happens, Rangers fans will be assuring the English clubs’ supporters that all is not lost.

Rangers were at their lowest ebb in 2012 but thanks to supporters rallying around the club, they stand 90 minutes from European football for the second campaign in a row.
