Rangers fans are coming out in numbers on Twitter after watching their side labour to a 0-0 draw away to FC Shkupi in the second-leg of their first round Europa League qualification tie.

The draw was enough for Steven Gerrard’s men put to rest the demons of last season thanks to their 2-0 win over the Macedonian side at Ibrox last week.

Just 12 months ago, Pedro Caixinha was embarrassingly knocked out at the same stage by Luxembourg side Progres Niederkorn.

Yet whilst this was a much more satisfying result for fans of the Ibrox side, not all of their supporters are queuing up to praise Gerrard’s side’s performance.

Alfredo Morelos took much of the criticism from the Rangers faithful after missing several good openings and failing to look up to speed.

Here’s what supporters had to say after an uneventful night in Skopje:

The win ensured Rangers’ first in a European tie since a 3-3 aggregate draw with Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League last 32 back in 2011.

Next up for Gerrard’s side will be a tie against either CS Petrocub of Moldova or Croatian outfit NK Osijek.
