Rangers have finished as runners-up in this years Hong Kong Soccer Sevens after losing to Newcastle United in a repeat of last year’s final – but Rangers fans on Twitter only had positive messages for the young Gers.
The Light Blues have impressed over the two days of the competition and were unlucky to lose out in extra-time to the Magpies for the second year in a row.

The Gers came back to beat Leicester City in the quarter-finals before Andy Dallas scored the only goal of the game in the semis to set up another meeting with Newcastle and a shot at revenge for last year.
Despite surging into a 2-0 lead, Rangers needed a last-minute goal to take it to extra-time before Owen Bailey’s goal sealed the win for the Geordies.

Gers fans on Twitter were delighted with how the side performed in Hong Kong – with one fan saying they had “done the club proud.”
