Rangers fans react to Dundee United playoff defeat

Dundee United will spend another season in the SPFL Championship after losing their playoff final to St. Mirren on penalties yesterday – and Rangers fans were quick to see the upside in the Arabs’ struggles.
Tensions have been strained between the clubs for years after Rangers fans took legal action when they were forced into paying twice to see their side play after the original match was abandoned.

The Gers support then boycotted a Scottish Cup clash at Tannadice over their unhappiness at their treatment in 2012 by the United board.
The two sides haven’t clashed since 2014 but Rangers fans weren’t about to see their rival struggle and not have some fun at their expense – with a few suggesting Tannadice could become a supermarket in a similar vein to how United fans poked fun at Rangers in 2012.
