Rangers captain James Tavernier sent a message to Gers fans after last night’s 0-0 draw with Legia Warsaw thanking them for their support and insisting the Light Blues are “more than capable” of reaching the Europa League group stages – and fans on Twitter have got right behind the skipper ahead of Thursday’s crunch Ibrox clash.

Both sides had their chances to win last night’s first leg in Warsaw and Tavernier said he was “pleased” to have left the Polish Army Stadium with a clean sheet after a string of saves from Allan McGregor.
