Rangers fans react as winner chosen in club's own World Cup of Dogs

Rangers fans have been sending in their submissions and reacting to photographs of the best bluenose dogs as the club decide the World Cup of Dogs on #internationaldogday (26/08).

The club invited supporters to submit photos of their dogs wearing Rangers memorabilia with the general public being invited to vote on group winners before a knockout format.

You’d be absolutely amazed by the number of fans who submitted a picture of their best pal in Rangers colours.

Eight groups of four were eventually decided upon, before fans chimed in with their thoughts to set up the semi-finals.

It went right down to the wire, with both finalists sharing the vote 50/50 after nearly 3000 votes and a tiebreaker bringing it down to most combined votes overall.

The closely contested World Cup of Dogs was eventually won by bluenose Bella, who’s lucky owner is also set to win a prize from the club.

Fans themselves were delighted with the competition, even if some were disappointed their precious pooch didn’t take home the trophy.

There were even some who felt both deserved a prize with the competition so close.

In other news, Rangers have appealed to supporters to take part in the Big Ibrox Sleepout [] to help raise money to tackle homelessness in the city.
