Rangers fans react as Ibrox star awarded SPFL's goal of the month award

Rangers midfielder-come-inside-forward Joe Aribo has received December’s SPFL’s goal of the month award for his strike in the 3-0 win over Hibs.

The Nigerian international finished off a sweeping Rangers move in which he was heavily involved with a composed finish from a pinpoint Ryan Jack cross.

The move and finish summed up Rangers’ stylish performance in Edinburgh as the Ibrox club romped to a dominant win at Easter Road.

Aribo’s finish was the undisputed winner in the SPFL’s poll with the Rangers midfielder picking up 49% of the final vote.

A worthy winner of the award and the latest example of the progress the former Charlton midfielder is making at Rangers.

Aribo earned his first caps for the Nigerian national team and is now seen as a key part of the Super Eagles’ plans for the future.

The midfielder has also played a big role in Rangers domestic and European campaigns, earning 11 European appearances in total and scoring thrice in qualifying.

Rangers supporters paid tribute to the midfielder’s goal of the month award:
