Rangers fans are loving Umaro Balde's gesture after first Academy goal

Rangers under-18s thrashed Inverness CT last night 7-0 with Academy star Umaro Balde grabbing his first goal for the club – and Gers fans on Twitter were delighted with the young ace after he dedicated his strike to the fans and coach Kevin Thomson.

Balde scored the fourth goal in the win, earning plaudits from KT in the process and took to Twitter after the game to show his appreciation.

The youngster praised Thomson for helping him since arriving in Scotland and his comments really seemed to strike a chord with fans.

The 17-year-old joined Rangers from Sporting Lisbon over the summer after leaving the Portuguese giants and has quickly made a big impression at the Hummel Training Centre.

The under-18s have swept all before them this season as they look to retain the CAS title they won last season and have put themselves in an excellent position to do so.

Supporters were really impressed with the teenager’s attitude after yet another resounding win and were quick to laud his mature outlook despite his young age.
