A Rangers fan will take on an incredible challenge in the name of charity, next month.
Lifelong Ger, David Smith, will run from Ibrox to Pittodrie between Saturday 2nd and Wednesday 6th February.
The intention is to complete the run ahead of the clash between the two sides, which kicks off at 19:45.
Completing the self set challenge will take an immense effort, considering the distance ensures Smith is running the equivalent of five ultramarathons.
Yet, the 52-year-old isn’t fazed by the task ahead.
“To be honest, the training is always the hardest part. 15 miles on a winter evening after finishing work isn’t always easy but it’s absolutely worth it”,
“I just hope to raise as much money as possible for some great causes that do fantastic work in Scotland.”
The two charities to which Mr. Smith refers, are MS Society Scotland and The Rangers Charity Foundation.
He is a long term supporter of both organisations, having previously taken on similar challenges ahead of home match days.
Should they so choose, fellow fans can support Mr Smith’s efforts via a link, here.
Rangers News wishes the blue nose the very best of luck!
