Portuguese legend Jesualdo Ferreira has praised Braga boss Ruben Amorim and insisted none his critics are laughing now after they hit a fantastic run of form ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Rangers in the Europa League.
Amorim was promoted from his role as assistant manager and has led Braga side to nine wins in their last ten games, despite not having the necessary badges to take his place in the dugout.
Ferreira, now managing Brazilian giants Santos, thinks Amorim has changed the mentality at Brage and “silenced” everyone who doubted his appointment late last year.
“They all laughed when Braga announced it was promoting Ruben Amorim to manager. No one’s laughing now,” Ferreira said, quoted by the Daily Record.
“Everyone who doubted him has been silenced. Ruben Amorim has injected aggression into Braga and maybe that was something they lacked.

They lacked the mentality needed to go and win against big clubs in the league and he’s changed that.
“They said he didn’t have the qualifications to be a manager, but that has nothing to do with the quality of his work.
“He can’t coach from the dugout during games and he’s still achieving these results!”
Braga beat Benfica over the weekend to give themselves the perfect preparation for Glasgow, as Rangers hard to work for three points over a dogged Livingston side.
A win for the Gers on Thursday would be a massive result and, hopefully, breathe new life into the campaign after a poor start to 2020.
While Amorim might well go on and be a top manager – once he gets his badges – hopefully his inexperience can be exploited at Ibrox on Thursday night.
