Rangers Colts star Kai Kennedy was the talk of supporters after the Youth Cup Old Firm win – and the talented youngster is “buzzing” to face Wrexham at Ibrox on Saturday.

Kennedy has really impressed for Graeme Murty’s side recently and the teen has been winning plenty of plaudits for his form.

After recent wins over the likes of Solihull Moors and Bratislava, Kennedy is confident the Colts can book their place in the semi-final.

“I can’t wait, I am just buzzing to get on the pitch at Ibrox and I think all the boys are as well and I hope there is a good atmosphere,” Kennedy told Rangers TV.

“Going down to Solihull was good in the last round, the atmosphere was great for us and I think on Saturday the atmosphere should be good as well and we are all looking forward to it.

“The boys are all confident, we have had good results so far in the Youth League and in this cup and I think you can tell that all the boys are confident and we are playing well at the moment.”

The 17-year-old was also named player of the tournament at the Alkass Cup in Doha last season and has continued his fantastic development this season with a string of exciting performances.

A win over Wrexham would see the Colts 90 minutes away from a Hampden final and cap off what has been a tremendous spell for the club’s Academy sides.

Kick-off on Saturday is at 3pm, and admission to the game is £10 for adults and £5 for concessions. Tickets can be purchased online HERE
