Colombia manager Carlos Queiroz has admitted that all of his attacking players are in confident mood as they get together ahead on an international friendly next week – and picked out Rangers star Alfredo Morelos for praise, insisting he has confidence El Buffalo will start showing his club for his country.

With 22 goals to his name this season, he certainly knows where the goal is, and former Real Madrid manager Queiroz is happy with the way he has been playing for Rangers at club level.

“All the attacking players in the squad are confident, especially Alfredo Morelos who has already scored more than 20 goals this season,” Queiroz said, as quoted by the Daily Record.

“He is playing really well and I am confident he will show the form he has shown for his club for us.

“The team will score goals in these games – I am sure of that.”

Morelos is also is set to be involved against Ecuador in a friendly at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey, the home of Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls before returning to Scotland.

Getting his first goal for his country will be a huge milestone for El Buffalo and would be yet another feather in his cap at a time where everything he does seems to work out well.

When he does start scoring for Colombia, it’ll likely be just as hard to stop him as it is when he’s playing for Rangers – and at only 23, he can still get a lot better.
