Rangers club insider Four Lads Had a Dream has welcomed the decision of players, staff and directors to defer wages [Rangers] whilst reiterating the financial security of the club.
The Ibrox side announced yesterday that a player-led effort means all wages of the club’s highest earners will be deferred in order to ensure non-footballing staff receive full-pay.
Steven Gerrard said he felt “proud” about the decision and Four Lads have reiterated that the move was player-led in a tweet to Gers fans.
The Rangers influencer also reiterated that the club is “financially sound” and that Rangers are no different from any other club during these difficult times.
The move to defer wages was warmly welcomed by supporters who praised Rangers boss Steven Gerrard and the players for the decision.

Rangers have still placed some non-playing staff on furlough, but the decision ensures that all non-footballing staff will receive 100% of their wages.

The move comes after club insider Four Lads had clashed with BBC chief sportswriter Tom English over comments made by Dave King over investment into the club being halted.
The Rangers blogging account urged supporters then to “ignore the narrative” that the football club potentially faced a doomsday scenario due to the crisis.
