Aberdeen star Sam Cosgrove has admitted that he wants to better Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos and end the season as top goalscorer in the Scottish Premiership – after missing out by one goal to the Colombian last term.
Cosgrove has hit 13 goals in 13 games in all competitions so far this season and has made a blistering start to the campaign after netting 17 times in the league last season.

Morelos has made a phenomenal start of his own as he’s fired several crucial goals for Rangers already this season as Cosgrove aims to go one better than him.
“Challenging at the top of the scoring list is the aim,” Cosgrove said, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.
“I want to be up there again this season.
“I had the chance to go level with Morelos last season but I missed out by one goal.
“This season I want to do better, score as many goals as I can and get more than him and be the top striker.”
Cosgrove has been clinical over the last 18 months for Aberdeen and deserves great credit for doing it for an average side like the Dons but Morelos will likely come out on top again this season.

The Colombian seems to be getting better with every passing week and he looks like he’ll easily smash the 30 goals he scored last season.
Grabbing a couple against Aberdeen this afternoon would be the perfect way to continue towards that after a stunning start to the season.
