Rangers loanee Ross McCrorie endured yet more pain on Saturday afternoon as Portsmouth fans continue to call for Kenny Jackett to be relieved of his duties.
Last weekend, Pompey threw away a two-goal advantage at Bristol Rovers, with McCrorie involved in a late own goal which prompted an outpouring of fury toward the manager.

A week later, with the Hampshire side at home this time, they suffered a similar fate against Oxford United.
McCrorie started in his increasingly familiar right-back slot and was booked after 39 minutes for a mistimed tackle on Josh Ruffels, which eventually forced the opposition player to come off injured.
Just before the hour mark, though, Pompey took the lead, with Gareth Evans slotting home a penalty.
Despite sustained pressure following the goal, the hosts were unable to double their advantage. Yet, when McCrorie was substituted late on, he probably thought he’d helped to secure a clean sheet and three points.
In what was one of his most promising run-outs for his adopted club, he was even named Man of the Match.

However, just as it had done a week previously, disaster struck late on.
With the loan Ger watching on from the bench, a 90th-minute header from Matty Taylor snatched a point for the plucky U’s. The result ensures Pompey continue to languish in the bottom half of EFL League One, on 18 points from 14 games.
Nothing seems to be going right for McCrorie or Pompey this season and the late equaliser drew more rage from the club’s fanbase on Twitter.

So sick of this. A team capable of promotion clearly getting poor training and leadership. Loyalty is admirable but blind faith is not!

I will pay the club for me to be manager! Honestly don’t think I’d do any worse. When you’re under pressure, you don’t make a defensive sub. Coventry and now today. Joke

@Michael_Eisner this isn’t good enough. You can back him all you like but we’re dropping like a stone. Isnt it about time to put your hand in your pocket and pay for a manager capable of putting a competitive squad together and moving us up and out of this league
