The social media spokesperson for local kit supplier Greaves Sports has become an unlikely hero amongst some Rangers fans, with a petition launched to get him to Ibrox for a half time draw.
Jonny from Greaves Sports has been delighting fans all week with his updates on the kit situation. More than infuriate customers by frustratedly wading through enquiries, the retailer did well to put a brave face on the huge take-up by fans. That brave face was Jonny.
Rather than curse enquires he’s faced them head on, and it should be commended. More than that, he’s made a point of having a laugh.

All week he’s been uploading video updates and tweeting supporters and Rangers fans have been enjoying his positive attitude.
They’ve enjoyed it so much they now want him to do a half time draw at Ibrox. It looks like Jonny’s up for it too. He mentioned it when he signed off on a crazy week for the retailer.

Rangers twitter has a new hero
Jonny fae Greaves has earned his bread this week, it must be said.
He’s set out to answer every enquiry and has been smiling the entire time. Rangers fans have responded in kind, also jokingly marking him out as some kind of superhero.
One fan even got a signed photo of the famous Jonny when he picked up a kit for his son.
Hahaha! This is amazing! Craigie bagged himself a very rare, limited edition, signed photo of our Jonny for a bit of fun! Kit looks great too 😂👍🏻 Thanks so much for your support! https://t.co/6G5z3ip2lP

It looks like he’ll have his work cut out for him over the coming month too. The second and third kits are also set to land in November.
Greaves Sports are a local retailer based in Glasgow and have operated in the city for five generations. They also supported the fans during boycotts under the old regime. Fans were quick to offer them support earlier in the week.
