Much-loved Rangers pub The Royalty Bar set to re-open

The much-loved Rangers pub The Royalty Bar is set to reopen this weekend.
The Westend haunt is on Maryhill Road and officially reopens on Friday 22nd of March. New owners the Somerville family invite supporters from all around to pop in for a drink.
They even took to Twitter to provide an update on the bar’s progress, also thanking everyone for their interest.

The bar famously has a quote by iconic Rangers manager Bill Struth bannered across the front of the building
Guests are welcomed with the iconic quote “let the others come after us, we welcome the chase.” It’s a motto which has become a major part of the vocabulary of Rangers fans over the years.
The bar will be hoping to provide a space for Rangers fans on matchdays or in general. A short walk from St. George’s Cross Subway Station, it’s a superb spot for a pre-match drink or to watch a game live.

Rangers bars in and around Glasgow need support in order to survive with many suggesting fans must “use them or lose them”.

The Royalty Bar will reopen its doors at 11 am Friday 22nd March. We wish the new owners all the best with this latest incarnation of an iconic Rangers pub.
On Rangers bars,
the owner of one has had a lot to say recently about Rangers and corruption in Scottish football.
