Rangers manager Michael Beale has revealed that the Ibrox club are expecting Bayern loanee Malik Tillman to return to the squad from injury in next weekend’s clash with Motherwell.

The Ibrox boss was talking after the 3-0 Scottish Cup victory over Raith Rovers, with the USA international last seen in the 2-1 League Cup Final defeat to Celtic.

Whilst the Rangers boss wasn’t so forthcoming with the details of any Malik Tillman injury, heading into the Hampden Old Firm there were major doubts surrounding the player due to a hamstring knock.

Malik Tillman to return from injury for Rangers

Michael Beale was talking about Tillman as he answered questions about Turkish international Ridvan Yilmaz, who returned to the Rangers side in the Scottish Cup victory.

This comes with a new-look Rangers also incorporating the likes of Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin into the side following the disappointing defeat to Celtic.

“I can’t wait until Malik (Tillman) is back in, hopefully next weekend,” said Michael Beale [Rangers].

“This will add to that (energy and freshness) as well. It will give us another player similar to them (Raskin and Cantwell) that can combine. I think Ryan Kent’s in good form.

“So I think we are starting to see, certainly on Wednesday night when there’s more space in the game, that when the spaces are there we can be really, really dangerous.”

The return of Malik Tillman from injury will be a boost to Rangers in the coming weeks with the club’s new look beginning to take some shape under Michael Beale.

With Ridvan Yilmaz, Nicolas Raskin and Todd Cantwell all coming into the side it will also add a freshness and Rangers fans will be hoping to see the next evolution of the squad in the coming window.

Speaking of Malik Tillman, any future permanent Ibrox switch could depend on the future of two key Bayern stars.
