It promises to be an iconic Final no matter what happens and there will be thousands in Spain but those watching at home also will not miss out.

BT Sport will screen all three showpieces European Finals live on YouTube meaning the Europa League Final, the Champions League Final and the Europa Conference League Final will all be available to watch on the streaming platform free of charge [STV].

There’s been much made about where Rangers fans will be able to watch the game both in Spain and in Glasgow but at least every single bluenose can be safe in the knowledge the Europa League Final will be screened on YouTube.

Europa League Final to be screened on YouTube amid Rangers fan zone grumbles

There has been some controversy surrounding Fan Zones both in Spain and Glasgow but Rangers have moved to clarify the situation today.

In Seville, Rangers fans without a ticket will be able to watch the match at a screening in La Cartuja – the same ground Celtic lost the UEFA Cup Final to Porto in 2003.

However, there will be no beamback Fan Zone at Ibrox Stadium and Rangers moved to clarify the decision via a statement:

“Unfortunately, Rangers will not be able to provide a matchday screening at Ibrox stadium.

“Whilst we understand the wish for supporters to be able to gather at our home for this momentous occasion, the club does not have sufficient staffing resources to be able to host such a large event due to the number of qualified staff and personnel required to travel to Spain to assist in the safe delivery of the final.

“We could not safely operate an event of this size without the presence of our safety team, all of whom are required in Spain.

“Given the significant UEFA regulatory demands, we are required to deploy our full safety team in Seville, given the anticipated travelling support. This was not an easy decision but it is vital we ensure the safety of the team, management and travelling support in Spain.

“We acknowledge and understand the disappointment and frustration of non-travelling supporters, but there was no safe way of delivering a matchday screening.”

Rangers fans who can’t make the match or who just want to stay at home will be glad to know that they can view it on YouTube and don’t need a BT Sport subscription.

But having been unable to put on a Fan Zone at Ibrox Stadium, Rangers’ rivals Frankurt will be able to watch the Europa League Final in their own ground.
