Former team-mate Scott Linton has admitted he is “buzzing” for Greg Stewart – and told how he’ll never forget the forward turning up for a trial at Cowdenbeath wearing Rangers kit.
Stewart’s move from Birmingham City was confirmed by the Gers earlier this week and Linton knows how much a move to Ibrox will mean to the boyhood fan.

“I’ll never forget it. Usually, the club would give trialists some kit and I can’t ever remember anyone else rocking up in random gear. We didn’t even have time to have a go at him because, within five minutes of him turning up, we could all see his talent.
“I know what this move will mean for him and I’m buzzing for him.”
Stewart spent last season on loan with Kilmarnock and Aberdeen but suffered poor form at Pittodrie in the second half of the season.

At 29, this will likely be Stewart’s last ‘big move’ but the chance to impress at his boyhood heroes and, potentially, stick around there until the end of his career, should be a big motivator for the Stirling-born star.
