It’s been a long time coming, but have Rangers fans finally found their Steven Gerrard song?
The Rangers manager has been in charge at Ibrox since June and fans have been desperate to get something catchy befitting the man. I think everyone’s in agreement that “he’s blue, he’s white, he’s f’in dynamite” doesn’t cut it.
But this song, to the tune of the Animals Went in Two by Two could well catch on.

This version of the song, attributed to AIDANCUNNINGHAM_MUSICIAN, goes like:
—————————————————————————-

A Liverpool legend now he’s blue, Gerrard, Gerrard,

He loves like Bears like me and you, Gerrard, Gerrard,

We brought him here for 55 with Gary Mac by his side

Steven Gerrard, Steven Gerrard the Rangers Manager

Nah-nah-nah-nah-nah-nah-nah Gerrard Gerrard

We brought him here for 55 with Gary Mac by his side

Steven Gerrard, Steven Gerrard the Rangers Manager

—————————————————————————-
Fans have struggled to agree on a song for the Ibrox boss but this one certainly shows plenty of promise. It’s clean, catchy and the whole of Ibrox would sound class singing it.
Will it catch on? That remains to be seen. But in the mean-time it certainly feels like the best Steven Gerrard song fans have come up with yet.
The Animals Came in Two by Two chant is very common in football and regularly attributed to players. Even at Rangers – most recently Ryan Jack. But now some fans clearly think it should stick to Gerrard.

What do you think? Can you see this being sung at Ibrox or should fans wait for a better effort?

Meanwhile, Steven Gerrard has been direct with the press about questions on disciplinary controversies in a pre-match press conference.
The Rangers boss is getting a bit of a reputation for being straight to the point with the press in Scotland.
